The Chapter Lead acts as the key connection between developers and the Chapter Area Lead, ensuring day-to-day coaching for developers.

Multiple Chapter Leads exist for expertise areas like Angular/Mendix, Java, Python, Integration (WebMethods/Kafka), C++, Salesforce, and Data Engineering. This role is for the Data & Analytics chapter, focused on creating the Data Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an active block member, contributing expertise and working on block backlog tasks.
  • Define technical and professional standards within the chapter.
  • Establish interaction and knowledge-sharing processes within the chapter and with peer chapters.
  • Serve as a thought leader, guiding, motivating, and inspiring chapter members.
  • Lead performance evaluations, coaching members on both soft and hard skills.
  • Coach and develop chapter members to improve craft skills and career paths without managing their daily activities.
  • Define best practice work methods.
  • Perform strategic workforce planning with the Chapter Area Lead.
  • Make hiring decisions and handle HR administrative tasks such as performance reviews and time approvals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong technical background in data engineering, including data warehousing, ETL, and big data technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of financial services and trends in securities transactions.

  • Gross monthly salary €5,847 to €8,353 based on a 36-hour workweek (including vacation pay and benefits).
