Are you a Data Consultant, fascinated by the financial sector and eager to explore banking products? Join a Data Domain of motivated Data Professionals empowered to leverage data for strategic, operational, and tactical decisions. Work autonomously in multidisciplinary teams with data engineers, modelers, analysts, and scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate implementation of change projects by establishing processes and planning future migrations
  • Serve as translator for topics intersecting teams in Data Domains, Platform & Technology, Central Data Office
  • Lead communication and alignment for creation of data products
  • Support data modelers and analysts on selected use cases focusing on modelling and analytics
  • Evaluate and improve existing data systems across domains
  • Engage in long-term projects with continuous delivery in small increments
  • Proactively seek opportunities for improvement in team, processes, and data
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and promote collaboration at all levels
  • Stay curious, ask questions, and challenge the status quo

Working Environment

You will work in the Accounts, Savings & Transactions, and Insurances (AST&I) data domain within Transaction Banking product unit. This domain covers a broad portfolio including accounts, payment cards, savings, insurances, open banking APIs, trade finance, digital products like Apple Pay/Google Pay, and associated sales, business & risk management processes. The domain supports about 6 million Personal & Business Banking customers.

The AST&I data domain consists of 4 teams:

  1. BI & Analytics CoE - responsible for BI, reporting, and analytics use cases
  2. Advanced Analytics & AI CoE - responsible for advanced analytics use cases
  3. Data Products CoE - responsible for data management and coordination
  4. Transaction Banking Domain Data Store - data engineers, ML engineers, and modellers providing data foundation and platform

The team follows agile principles, collaborating cross-functionally with business experts and senior leadership, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, empathy, fun, and celebrating successes while living the bank’s values: Care, Collaboration, and Courage!

Profile

  • Degree in STEM or economics/business with analytics focus
  • 7+ years of work experience, including 5+ years in data analytics (analytics, modelling, data products)
  • Relevant experience in Agile/DevOps/Project management
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-team projects focused on data-driven initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to facilitate discussions and translate requirements between technical and business teams
  • Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and data modelling
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python programming
  • Strong English communication; Dutch is a plus
  • Experience working with multinational teams
  • Good understanding of cloud technology such as Azure Cloud Services (preferred)
  • Microsoft PL-300 certification and/or Certified Databricks Data Analyst Associate (nice to have)
