We are looking for a technical, user-focused Product Leader to lead the product team for Climate and Weather. The Climate and Weather Product leader will work across cross-functional teams at NVIDIA to deliver innovative and high quality capabilities in Earth-2 to our users. They will lead the team establishing product strategy, setting roadmaps, providing go-to-market strategies, and engaging the Climate and Weather ecosystem. They will work with software developers, hardware developers, and research scientists to enable researchers to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Earth-2 is a high priority and visible effort while Climate and Weather is an exciting area to drive strategy. We need a self-starting leader to continue to grow this area. Responsibilities

  • Leading, growing, and managing a team of product managers and developer relations managers defining Earth-2 and related Climate and Weather products and engaging the ecosystem
  • Building market analysis that provides the data to enter or change new markets through a clear value proposition
  • Serve as the voice of climate and weather developers and researchers to champion their needs through roadmaps and drive adoption of our product
  • Work closely with engineering to set requirements and priorities
  • Engage customers and present at conferences
  • Define the Earth-2 go-to-market strategy and contribute to the cross-functional implementation of the plan across Marketing, PR, Sales, etc
  • Work with marketing to define positioning that enables the communication of the product value proposition for our quantum products

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)
  • Extensive background in Climate Science, with familiarity in numerical methods, AI techniques, and the Climate and Weather ecosystem
  • Meaningful experience in a technical product leadership role at a technology company
  • At least 10 overall years of experience delivering software, libraries, and SDKs
  • At least 5 years managing technical or product teams
  • World-class communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Experience with large scale high performance computing or AI workflows
  • Familiarity with latest developments in AI for Climate methods
  • Experience with CUDA or GPU computing
