We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join autonomous vehicle software development for integrating both machine learning and classical trajectory planner within a safety-oriented framework. The role requires solid software integration and software architecture fundamentals, with a broader understanding of behavior planning, trajectory planning, safety concepts, and machine learning overall.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various architectural work across teams involving classical planner and machine learning planner.
  • Establish a framework that satisfies safety requirements in trajectory planning.
  • Develop scalable architecture for NVIDIA's self-driving stack as a product.
  • Engage actively in planning and control algorithms development and implementation.
  • Understand software architecture, design, and requirements to ensure overall planning and control performance and capability improvements.
  • Review, influence, and challenge algorithms in planning and control with new ideas and influence roadmaps across teams.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven track record of driving large-scale self-driving projects through the entire development lifecycle.
  • BS/MS or higher degree or equivalent experience in robotics, computer science, or related engineering fields.
  • Experience in agile software development processes and delivering software as a product, preferably in safety-critical applications.
  • Ability to design for reliability and testability.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong analysis skills.
