Role Description

Lead the evolution of GIS and ALM solutions that support Eneco’s critical heat networks and asset management systems. Combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in an innovative engineering environment. Help shape the digital backbone of Eneco’s sustainable energy infrastructure across the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the ALM and GIS engineering teams and align their work with business priorities and project timelines.
  • Oversee the development and support of systems that power Eneco’s heat network asset data and maintenance workflows.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver improvements in platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS, SAP PM, and SAP Asset Manager.
  • Drive best practices in geospatial software development, including versioning, testing, integration, and documentation.
  • Contribute hands-on in the GIS domain, particularly in initiatives involving spatial data modelling, performance optimization, and API integrations.
  • Foster continuous learning and collaboration across your team and contribute to Eneco’s broader digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering digital solutions in GIS and/or ALM contexts.
  • Solid technical experience with platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Asset Manager, and ideally integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with assets like district heating networks, geospatial data management, or infrastructure lifecycle workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate between IT, engineering, and business teams.
  • Experience with agile ways of working and mentoring cross-functional teams.
