Information about the position

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Member Lifecycle (MLC) domain, which owns three core areas: Member Engagement and Communication, New Member Acquisition, and General Vinted Content Capabilities.This role focuses on New Member Acquisition - enabling Vinted to attract new members through digital marketing, referrals, SEO/GEO, Mergers & Acquisitions technology, and support for country launches. You’ll lead the team responsible for:

  • **Mergers & Acquisitions Technology, ** and supporting new country launches.
  • Improving and scaling the referrals program.
  • Influencer marketing initiatives.
  • Contributions to Vinted Pages

You’ll also oversee a second team (1 Backend Engineer, 1 Frontend Engineer) with the mandate to:

  • Deliver SEO improvements to maximise visibility on Google
  • Drive GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)
  • Own the complete digital tracking stack.

Your teams, including backend and frontend engineers, QA, decision scientists, a product manager, and a designer, have the autonomy to make decisions and deliver results. Together, you’ll drive growth by attracting new members and expanding Vinted’s reach worldwide.

Your main responsibility will be:

  • Own delivery management and align with key stakeholders, including internal teams (e.g., Digital Marketing).
  • Maintain the health, growth, and maturity of the team.
  • Ensure high standards of engineering quality across all deliverables.

In this position, you’ll

  • Ensure the team delivers on its commitments and achieves key results.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering leads and Product teams to define ways of working and drive continuous improvements across the engineering organisation.
  • Lead the implementation of the technical strategy within the team.
  • Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including Digital Marketing and other internal teams.
  • Apply Agile and Lean principles, ensuring the team follows processes that enable effectiveness.
  • Support the professional and personal growth of your team through performance and compensation reviews.
  • Build and maintain a high-trust team culture where people embrace healthy conflict, are committed and accountable, and focus on achieving results.
  • Collaborate with other Product and Engineering teams as needed, coordinating on shared projects and contributing to work outside your team’s immediate scope.

About you

  • Hands-on engineering experience and a genuine passion for technology, with a strong desire to learn.
  • Proven track record of leading a software engineering team and delivering results.
  • Skilled at making teams effective, managing scopes, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Experience building teams and hiring new members.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate effectively and manage expectations.
  • Proficient in communicating with both technical and management levels.
  • Experienced in people management, supporting the growth and development of team members.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Experience in new member acquisition, including referrals, SEO, GEO, Digital Marketing, or digital tracking stack, is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

The salary range for this position is €6,258 - €8,475 gross per month.
