ABN AMRO Clearing is a global leader in clearing, driving a comprehensive IT transformation agenda across cost, application globalization, modernization and regulatory requirements. The Chapter Lead is the key connection between developers and the Chapter Area Lead, providing day-to-day coaching and bringing technical expertise into the block. This vacancy is for a Chapter Lead in the Data & Analytics chapter focusing on creation of a Data Platform.
Responsibilities
- Act as an active block member, contributing expertise and working on day-to-day backlog tasks.
- Define professional standards, work methodologies and (technical) standards within the chapter competency.
- Set up interaction and knowledge-sharing processes within the chapter and align with peer Chapter Leads for cross-chapter knowledge sharing.
- Act as a thought leader within the area of expertise: guide, motivate and inspire chapter members.
- Lead performance evaluation for direct reports; coach on soft and hard skills.
- Manage people-related activities (hiring decisions, performance dialogs, time approvals) and perform strategic workforce planning for the chapter.
- Spend ~70% on hands-on technical activities (developing code, defining technical standards/best practices) and ~30% on coaching chapter members. Limited managerial responsibilities (up to ~15 FTE).
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience including hiring, mentoring and performance management.
- Strong technical background in data engineering and experience with creation of data platforms.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes and big data technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, security and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial services and current trends in investing/securities transactions is required.
- 5+ years experience (as noted in the listing).

Benefits
- Gross monthly salary shown is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- Benefit Budget: 11% of salary (monthly payouts if not used in Benefit Shop).
