Team overview
The Control Plane engineering teams build the billing platform behind ClickHouse Cloud, the SQL Console for the ClickHouse interface, and ClickHouse UI dashboards (internal and external). The team works across frontend and backend technologies, integrates with external systems, and collaborates with stakeholders across the business to deliver reliability, scalability, privacy, security, observability, accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Build ClickHouse Cloud interfaces, dashboards, and consoles; design and build mission-critical processes that keep services running.
- Make purposeful design and engineering decisions; document rationale and present solutions to peers and stakeholders.
- Deliver secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms that abstract infrastructure complexity.
- Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
- Integrate with a variety of systems (Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, Support, etc.).
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building front-end systems running on the cloud.
- Full stack coding experience: React, TypeScript, Serverless, Node.js (proficiency in multiple languages encouraged).
- Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
- Full-cycle developer: strong ownership of code quality and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software life cycle.
- Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS offerings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and partner with the business to move it forward.
- High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.

Compensation
For roles based in the United States, ClickHouse provides typical starting salary ranges depending on specific location. The posting lists several regional ranges; for General US Remote the range is $133,450 - $197,200 USD.
