ClickHouse is an open-source column-oriented database system focused on delivering fast OLAP query performance and real-time analytical reporting. The Control Plane engineering teams build the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, the SQL Console, and internal and external ClickHouse UI dashboards. This role is for a full stack JavaScript engineer who will work across frontend and backend systems and integrate with various external systems to deliver reliable, scalable, secure, and observable user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build ClickHouse Cloud interfaces, dashboards, and consoles; design and implement mission-critical processes.
- Deliver frameworks and platforms that are secure, efficient, mature, and highly available and that abstract infrastructure complexity.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
- Integrate with a variety of systems (Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, Support, etc.).
- Own the full software lifecycle: design, implementation, shipping, and operating high-scale distributed systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building front-end systems running on the cloud.
- Full stack coding experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React; backend experience with Node.js and serverless architectures (Serverless).
- Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
- Strong ownership of code quality and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software life cycle.
- Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure-as-a-service offerings.
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and partner with the business to move initiatives forward.

Compensation
- Typical starting salary (United States): $133,450 - $197,200 USD.
- Salary may vary by location (premium market ranges may apply in Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and New York City Metro Area) and will depend on factors such as education, experience, and location.
