Information about the position
We are looking for a full-stack engineer to join our newly formed team to provide self-help for our users. This team has the potential to save millions of euros and transform stranded users into engaged advocates of our sustainable marketplace. This directly supports our mission to make second-hand first choice worldwide.
As our new full-stack engineer in this team, you will play an integral role in rewriting the first touch point for all Vinted users seeking support: Our Help Centre. We will evaluate and use the best and latest technologies to make it super personalised. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in many directions, get hands-on experience with AI, ML and Search technologies and use them to make an impact for millions of users.

In this position, you’ll
- Work as a team to shape features that make our members’ lives better
- Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
- Write ES6+ TypeScript code with sprinkles of SCSS-style code and HTML5-conformant mark-up
- Work with the latest versions of React, Redux, JSX, Jest/Enzyme, and other React ecosystem friendly libraries
- Write unit tests (RSpec) for all of the code you write. We have >10000 tests which run in ~5 minutes through our Jenkins setup
- Work with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch and many more technologies. We don't expect you to be familiar with any of them beforehand, but we expect you will be excited to learn them
- We monitor our code through Kibana, Grafana, Datadog and new tools that you will introduce. :)
About you
- 3+ years of experience in web and backend development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Next.js, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with server-side programming languages like Python, Ruby, Golang or Node.js.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid understanding of web standards, responsive design principles, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality web experiences.
