Details

As part of Financial Risk, the scope of TRM is ING's Financial Markets (trading) business. Within that scope, the Stress Testing Squad is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting stress tests on the market risk of the trading activities. In addition, the squad has an important role in coordinating and running all market risk-related regulatory exercises, such as the EBA Stress Test.

You will participate in the Stress Testing Squad and get familiar with the trading book portfolio, daily market risk metrics and the stress testing model. You will be involved in validation of the stress testing results, analyses of market data history and analyses of position changes in the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and work with the trading book portfolio and daily market risk metrics
  • Support validation of stress testing results
  • Analyse historical market data and position changes in the portfolio
  • Support regulatory market risk exercises and reporting (e.g., EBA Stress Test)
  • Collaborate with other TRM risk teams and departments within ING

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled university student in economics, econometrics or other finance/quantitative subjects
  • Keen interest in financial markets, financial instruments and market risk
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage different stakeholders
  • Self-starter, result-driven and flexible
  • Affinity with programming (Python, SQL)
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English
  • Candidates must be studying in the Netherlands (or at an EU university for EU passport holders)
