IT Data Engineer

Details

We are looking for an enthusiastic data engineer with 3 or more years of experience to join the Finance & Risk Data Domain. You will work on data products that support the bank's reporting functions and enable downstream teams to prepare internal and external reports used for decision making and regulatory disclosure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated processes and solutions that create datasets for the rest of the bank
• Work as part of a scrum team and participate in team scrum events
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues
• Create new data products (onboarding new data, adding transformation logic, etc.)
• Add features to underlying platforms
• Improve and optimize existing code

Requirements

• 2+ years (listing at various places: 2+ years; main text mentions 3 or more years) of relevant data engineering experience
• Experience with the following technologies and practices (explicitly mentioned):
  • Python
  • PySpark / Databricks
  • SQL
  • Airflow
  • Software development practices such as clean code, (unit) testing and patterns
• Experience working in agile/scrum teams
• Ability to monitor production processes and troubleshoot

Benefits

• Grade: Hay 9–10 (based on knowledge and experience)
• Salary range: €50,000 – €81,000 gross per year (based on 36 hours, excluding benefits)
• Also shown as monthly: €4.466 - €6.380 per month
• A benefit budget of 11% of your base pay (paid out if not used)

Interview process

• Initial screening
• First interview covering role and experience
• Technical assignment followed by a technical interview (assignment forms basis for second interview)
• Usually a decision after the second interview (rarely a third)
