At ABN AMRO, we’re seeking an IT Engineer with System Architect responsibilities to join our Data Devils team. This team manages high-volume data streams, enabling seamless batch and streaming data integration to support fraud detection and business intelligence for a zero-fraud client experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current application landscape and design high-performance solutions for data integration challenges.
• Design and implement data solutions leveraging Azure cloud technologies.
• Develop real-time and batch data flow strategies using Apache Kafka as the streaming platform.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with banking standards and policies.
• Mentor technical teams on best practices and emerging trends.

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in solution design and architecture with ability to design and implement complex technical solutions.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms and technologies.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Apache Kafka as a streaming platform.

Soft Skills

• Proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to persuade.

Certifications

• Certification in TOGAF or ArchiMate (enterprise architecture frameworks).

• Exposure to DevOps and Agile methodologies.

• Gross monthly salary between €5,847 and €8,353 based on a 36-hour work week including vacation pay and benefits budget.
