At NordLayer we build cybersecurity that scales with the business. The Endpoint Protection Squad delivers management tools and features to support enterprise device and threat teams — from app lifecycle and device posture to download protection and centralized policy enforcement. You will work on desktop applications and collaborate with Product Owners and Engineers to ensure high-quality releases.

Team & Context

  • Squad: Endpoint Protection (newly created)
  • Responsibilities span UI and backend-related testing for features such as App Versioning Engine, Download Protection Platform, Device Security Posture Module, Centralized Policy & App Setting Enforcement, and Enterprise Browser Settings & Reporting UI.
  • Team hiring note: This team is being hired almost completely from scratch in Vilnius or remote in Poland. Planned structure includes Tech Lead, 3 Backend Engineers (1 Senior, 2 Mid), and 2 Frontend Engineers (1 Senior, 1 Mid).

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of desktop applications
  • Analyze requirements and designs to define testing needs
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and Engineers during feature development
  • Define test criteria and create detailed, well-structured test cases
  • Prepare relevant test data
  • Execute functional and non-functional tests
  • Analyze found bugs and prepare recommendations for process improvements
  • Take ownership of quality improvement strategy development and implementation
  • Ensure the product meets high-quality standards for deployment
  • Report testing progress and results clearly and regularly
  • Continuously review and refine test cases for effectiveness

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in software testing
  • Advanced knowledge of test design and a variety of testing techniques
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to understand the bigger product and business perspective
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and working in dev teams
  • Good written and spoken English
