Responsibilities

• Write high-value code for a platform visited tens of millions of times a month.
• Develop and refine features that impact user experience (e.g., making search results faster, optimising data streams for calculation tools).
• Contribute to and evolve a microservices architecture, ensuring stability, scalability and maintainability.
• Analyse and solve problems such as performance bottlenecks and design smart caching strategies.
• Ship to production frequently via Azure DevOps and take ownership of services and features from idea to production and beyond.
• Carry out code reviews, share knowledge, and actively learn from colleagues.
• Work closely with product managers, UX designers and frontend/backend engineers to transform ideas into robust solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with .NET Core and modern .NET (.NET 8 mentioned in the tech stack).
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure (platform) and using Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• Interest in architecture as well as hands-on building and shipping code.
• Ownership mentality: responsible for code quality, reliability and behaviour after release.
• Comfortable working in an agile, multidisciplinary team and participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Currently living in the Netherlands and fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
