Information about the position

The Midmile manager plays a crucial role to oversee and optimize our mid-mile transportation network. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of shipments between hubs, distro, while supporting the company’s growth and delivery speed.

In this position, you’ll

• Design, implement, and monitor mid-mile transport flows, including hub-to-hub and hub-to-distro
• Plan transport capacity based on volume forecasts and ensure timely, cost-effective routing through planning cycle
• Manage and optimize carrier performance: negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and handle escalations.
• Optimize the Ops clock in collaboration with Field Ops team to improve delivery speed
• Identify improvement opportunities in service quality, cost reduction, and network design to improve the delivery speed
• Monitor KPIs (on-time performance, cost per parcel/km, utilization rates, etc.)
• Support operational rollout of new routes, lanes, or partners in line with business needs.

About you

• Hard skills

  • Spanish and English fluent
  • Proficient in written and oral communication techniques
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Experience managing carriers or working with 3PLs.

  Soft skills

  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation (Operatives to Directors)

  Behavioural skills:

The salary range for this position is € 43,000 - € 46,000 gross per year
