In Americas, ING’s Wholesale Banking division offers a broad range of innovative financial products and services to domestic and international corporate and institutional clients. This is a DevOps-style network engineering role focused on LAN and Wi‑Fi access networks. You will join an international squad responsible for developing, rolling out, and supporting global-standard LAN & Wi‑Fi networks. The role requires hands-on network engineering, automation, orchestration, and collaboration within agile squads (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, planning) together with Product Owners and interfacing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implement structural infrastructure solutions for LAN and Wi‑Fi access networks.
  • Develop, implement, configure, and modify network infrastructure as needed.
  • Work with orchestration and automation platforms such as Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps Automation.
  • Conduct automated testing of IT infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools and open-source tooling for network management and to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Create and improve documentation and work instructions for delivered infrastructure solutions.
  • Assess and challenge network designs with emphasis on technical implementation and security considerations.
  • Provide an end-to-end view by coordinating with interfacing squads and consumers; analyze performance and capacity impacts across service elements.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, can-do mentality and collaborate to move user stories from "To-Do" to "Done."

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as a network engineer or in a similar function.
  • Experience with LAN and Wi‑Fi network technologies and delivering high-speed, low-latency networks.
  • Experience and/or certifications (preferred) in one or more of:
    • HPE Aruba Networking (ACP/ACX)
    • Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP)
    • Azure DevOps
  • Experience with infrastructure orchestration and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with automated testing approaches for infrastructure and network monitoring tools.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps ways of working (continuous delivery, cross-functional squads) and Scrum/agile practices.
  • Certifications or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages.
  • Certifications or demonstrated proficiency in networking and security concepts.
