NVIDIA is hiring a Principal Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level IT systems. The role focuses on scalability, performance, system integration, and delivering high-quality user experiences for internal employees and developers. This position is part of NVIDIA's enterprise applications engineering efforts and contributes to large-scale IT initiatives, on-prem to cloud migrations, and integrations across SaaS and platform services.
Responsibilities
- Technology leadership: design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level IT systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and flawless user experience.
- System integration: lead integration of diverse IT systems and platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruption during transitions.
- Innovation and optimization: evaluate new technologies and methodologies to find opportunities for innovation and optimization within the IT infrastructure.
- Collaboration and partnership: work with teams across product and engineering to ensure IT solutions adapt to evolving requirements.
- Focused execution: implement company-wide IT initiatives at large scale, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
- Problem solving: analyze and resolve complex IT issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years of experience in IT engineering roles, with a proven track record of successful system implementations and optimizations.
- Deep technical expertise in cloud computing, SaaS applications, integration platforms, data analytics, and AI/ML technologies.
- Strong business insight: ability to translate business processes and workflows into effective IT solutions.
- Outstanding leadership skills: ability to encourage and motivate teams, build consensus, and lead change across the organization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities: capable of conveying information to individuals with varying technical expertise, including senior leaders.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions.
Ways to stand out
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Background in the technology or engineering industry.
- Experience with large-scale on-prem to cloud migrations for enterprise applications such as Atlassian and Artifactory.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 248,000 USD - 391,000 USD (final base determined by location, experience, and internal pay equity).
