At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. This role sits on the Enterprise Applications team supporting the Customer Experience (CX) organization and focuses on building a new product interface for internal users across Coinbase operational and engineering teams. The role requires partnering closely with Product, Engineering, CX, Compliance, and Security teams to translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and deliver simple, intuitive internal products. The position reports to a Senior Product Manager and will partner with a Technical Program Manager and a dedicated engineering team to execute the backlog and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Proactively build relationships with key stakeholders to understand each team’s scope and requirements
• Develop user personas and define and prioritize use cases for each persona to build a backlog and a roadmap
• Ensure the ‘What’ and ‘Why’ of every tool or feature is clearly defined, documented, and communicated to engineering partners
• Develop user journey maps and process documentation for users of the product
• Build an expert understanding of the customer journey (process and systems) and identify key pain points or opportunities
• Create and articulate the product vision for internal customers
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including executive-level stakeholders
• Ensure engineering teams have 4–6 weeks worth of refined backlog
• Conduct demos to business users of completed capabilities
• Run User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off on behalf of the business, as needed
• Plan and coordinate across multiple engineering teams
• Spearhead change management activities to drive adoption of new capabilities
• Define and analyze metrics and KPIs to mature the Product Management function

Requirements

• BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Business Administration desired
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in business applications development or product management for internal products
• Experience working across large, complex, cross-functional business units (Product & Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Sales, Customer Support)
• Strong prioritization methods and written/verbal communication skills to navigate trade-off discussions
• Experience tackling complex, ambiguous technical challenges
• Background working within an Agile environment and using Jira
• Experience with backend API infrastructure projects and integrations

Compensation and Other Details

• Pay Range: $140,080 — $164,800 USD (target bonus + target equity + benefits may also apply depending on work location)
• This is a remote-first role but not remote-only; in-person participation and attendance at team/company offsites are expected throughout the year
