At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. We are seeking a Product Manager to lead and enhance our HR Technology stack within the Future of Work domain. This is a product-minded role for someone who can lead custom builds or evaluate third-party solutions and drive outcomes from strategy to implementation. The role reports to the Head of HR Technology. The team works with leading cloud software solutions and custom builds, and requires experience making strategic buy vs. build decisions. Many roles at Coinbase are remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of HR technology products, prioritizing the backlog and roadmap to deliver effective and efficient solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement the HR technology stack.
  • Evaluate new enhancements and technology solutions, driving strategic buy vs. build decisions.
  • Intake new requests, assess organizational impact, and prioritize to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Balance functional and non-functional requirements in technology solutions.
  • Model user experiences, business processes, system interactions, and data architecture to enhance technology effectiveness.
  • Automate capabilities and processes to ensure simplified and intuitive user experiences within Workday and other HR systems.
  • Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Engineering teams to document requirements for custom software development.
  • Lead or support technology solutions that enhance the employee workplace experience (team travel, offsites, hoteling, in-office coordination).
  • Apply strong product judgment to prioritize trade-offs, align technical decisions with business goals, and ensure long-term scalability.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, privacy reviews, security reviews, and audits.
  • Provide system support and configuration updates within leading cloud technologies.
  • Monitor system metrics and ensure adherence to system support Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with the HR Analytics team to deliver actionable metrics and insights.
  • Contribute to Quarterly Operational reviews and provide input on program health and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR technology, with demonstrated ability to influence at the Director level.
  • Proven experience with global HR platforms, with a focus on Workday.
  • AI-native mindset and experience using emerging tools to drive efficiency, insights, and user experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate technical resources effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including breaking down epics into user stories.
  • Experience collaborating with IT to drive integration initiatives and ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other HR systems.
  • Experience developing and overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) processes.
  • Ability to establish and track success metrics for HR technology solutions.
  • Recent hands-on experience with administration, configuration, and systems support for HR systems.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including handling privacy/security reviews and audits.
  • Working knowledge of Jira.
  • Expert proficiency in Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, and internal Wikis.
  • Proven ability to create order out of chaos and operate with minimal oversight.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $140,080 β€” $164,800 USD (target bonus + target equity + benefits may also be included).
