About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
At Stripe, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, data science, legal, risk and go-to-market teams. You’d be joining a group of experienced Engineering, Product Management, Technical Program Manager, and Strategy and Operations leaders who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and products that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world.
Stripe’s Optimized Checkout and Link teams are passionate about helping merchants build highly optimized, delightful checkout experiences. This includes Stripe’s Web Elements, Checkout, and Link. The Link team at Stripe is building a fast, convenient, and best-in-class consumer checkout experience that delights consumers with embedded saved payment and identity tools while driving higher conversion and higher-margin transactions for our many millions of merchants.
What you’ll do
As a Program Manager, you will play a key role leading programs working across multiple engineering, product and cross-functional (finance, legal, compliance, risk, and other) teams spanning Stripe. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the launch of features, improve the operating efficiency of the organization, and implement mechanisms that make your programs effective and scale them to edit Stripe-level processes.
Responsibilities * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross functional teams to improve our products and processes
* Drive launches of new products and functionality including preview launches and GAs
* Drive continuous improvement of launch processes including identifying risks amongst teams and other product launches
* Track projects, timelines and commitments on internal projects and customer deliverables
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements * 2+ years of experience in program/product management, product operations, strategy & ops, or related discipline.
* You are not satisfied with just delivering a program on time—you are obsessed with quality, reliability & correctness
* You have a track record of providing program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship, and demonstrating critical thinking.
* You have strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams around the organization
* You can drive and scale internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
* You have experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones
Preferred qualifications * Experience with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools.
* Experience with customer-facing product launches
It's not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas—we're looking for candidates that are particularly strong in at least one area, and have some interest and capabilities in the others.
We look forward to hearing from you
At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
Hybrid work at Stripe
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $134,300 - $201,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
