Role Description

Join Eneco as a Senior Software Architect in the B2C Propositions team, playing a key role in shaping the future of energy usage for millions of users. Design smart digital solutions enabling consumers to manage energy real-time, including EV charging and smart thermostats. Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, real-time data processing, and cloud computing to transform complex data into practical user insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, cloud-native architectures for consumer-facing energy products
  • Lead system design for real-time energy data processing (smart meters, EVs, thermostats)
  • Collaborate with data engineers using tools like Databricks and Airflow
  • Create APIs and reusable components to accelerate product delivery
  • Ensure high system performance, security, and reliability
  • Stay ahead of IoT, energy tech, and cloud platform trends
  • Bridge business, product, and tech with clear communication

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a software architect, preferably in B2C, IoT, or energy sectors
  • Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), real-time data, and API design
  • Proficiency in backend technologies: C# (.NET), Java, Python, or Node.js
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, and IoT integrations
  • Comfortable hands-on and leading engineering discussions
  • Able to translate technical concepts into clear business impact
