As a Senior Software Architect in the B2C Propositions team you will help shape the future of energy usage for millions of users. Together with product and engineering teams you will design smart digital solutions that help consumers manage their energy in real-time, from EV charging to smart thermostats. You will combine IoT, real-time data processing and cloud computing to turn complex data into user-friendly insights and scalable products.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, cloud-native architectures for consumer-facing energy products.
- Lead system design for real-time energy data processing (smart meters, EVs, thermostats).
- Collaborate with data engineers on data pipelines and tooling (Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake).
- Create APIs and reusable components to accelerate product delivery.
- Ensure high system performance, security and reliability.
- Stay ahead of trends in IoT, energy technology and cloud platforms.
- Bridge the gap between business, product and tech with clear communication; translate technical ideas into business impact.
- Work hands-on while leading engineering discussions and driving technical decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software architect, ideally in B2C, IoT or energy domains.
- Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud-native architecture design.
- Experience with real-time data processing and API design.
- Experienced in backend technologies such as C# (.NET), Java, Python or Node.js.
- Familiarity with data platform tools like Databricks, Airflow and Snowflake and with designing data pipelines.
- Experience integrating IoT devices and services.
- Comfortable working hands-on and leading engineering discussions; ability to translate technical ideas into clear business outcomes.

- Gross annual salary between €86,000 and €125,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
