BUUT is ABN AMRO's new neobank targeted at the new generation. As a Senior Backend Developer you will be a senior member of a development team, driving architecture, mentoring other engineers, proposing innovative solutions, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, secure, and performant services. The role focuses on microservices and event-driven architecture using modern AWS serverless and NoSQL technologies in an agile fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and architecture of parts of the microservices platform using AWS technologies to build resilient solutions
  • Propose and drive technical innovation and creative solutions to complex challenges
  • Mentor junior and medior developers; share best practices and foster technical growth
  • Uphold code quality and champion engineering excellence across the team
  • Initiate technical discussions and contribute to architectural decision-making processes

Requirements

  • Proven track record designing and implementing event-driven, microservices architectures
  • Strong background in system design, performance optimisation, and security best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to mentor and lead others
