Team Connect plays a vital role in this journey: we ensure users can reach out to real estate agents at exactly the right moment, through the right channel, and backed by the right data. We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer with deep .NET expertise to join us in building the systems that make this connection seamless, intelligent, and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural design & collaboration: Co-defining scalable, clean architectures alongside our Staff Engineer, Lead Engineers, and other senior engineers.
  • Sharing knowledge: Upholding best practices and guiding fellow back-end engineers through modern .NET tooling.
  • Product-tech alignment: Aligning product and technical goals with the Product Manager and UX Designers to ensure sustainable delivery.
  • Strategic engineering decisions: Collaborating with the Lead Software Engineer to make strategic decisions and ensure engineering alignment.
  • Cross-team orchestration: Facilitating cross-team collaboration, especially with platform, data integration, and other feature teams.
  • Standards & quality: Upholding and evolving our standards in code quality, documentation, and agile processes.
  • Knowledge sharing & culture: Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, transparency, and high performance across the team.

Team

Team Connect is a multidisciplinary product team responsible for features that power interactions between home seekers and real estate agents. Our scope includes:

  • The contact form component used across the site to capture leads.
  • Integration with agent CRM systems to deliver leads effectively.
  • Support for newsletters and favourites (saved properties).
  • AI-powered suggestions based on user activity.
  • APIs for our mobile app and web platform supporting contacts and favourites.

The team works in an agile environment with back-end and front-end engineers, UX/UI designers, product managers, data analysts, QA specialists, and engineering leads.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in building and scaling back-end systems using modern .NET technologies.
  • Comfortable initiating complex initiatives with strong opinions on architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
  • Located in the Netherlands.

Technical skills required:

  • .NET development in modern, cloud-based environments using Azure.
  • Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Distributed systems using event-driven architecture with Azure Service Bus.
  • Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Deployment orchestration with Helm charts.
  • Designing robust, maintainable APIs and asynchronous workflows.
  • Mentoring and uplifting technical capabilities of peers.
  • Aligning engineering with product and business needs.
