The Desktop Applications department is a collaborative team of passionate engineers focused on what can be done instead of what's been done. We build on each other's ideas to solve complex problems by using C#, .NET, Swift, Linux, and macOS technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the agile ceremonies in the team
  • Mentor less experienced DevOps engineers
  • Improve teams’ processes to ensure consistent delivery
  • Maintain the on-premises infrastructure used by the development team
  • Be the owner of the pipeline: create, improve and maintain CI/CD processes
  • Set up static code analysis tools
  • Work on task automation
  • Code and maintain scripts using PowerShell
  • Setup and maintain QA test farms
  • Collaborate with the QA automation team to combine CI/CD with automated tests
  • Take care of the way NordVPN is released for millions of users

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a role in System Administration / DevOps
  • Experience working with Windows-based systems
  • Docker experience
  • Ability to create and fully own CI/CD processes
  • Scripting knowledge: Python, PowerShell, bash
  • Git knowledge
  • Experience with virtualization tools
  • Quick learner, not afraid of challenging tasks
  • Proactive and high attention to details
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Bonus

  • Windows Docker containers knowledge
  • Linux experience
  • Familiarity with .NET and its build tools
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform or any Infrastructure as Code tool
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, ELK stack or OpenSearch
