Community
The Guest Displays & Platforms team owns the main product details page (PDP) along with Pricing & Availability across the booking flow for all products (Homes, Hotels, Experiences, Services). Our work is at the heart of the Airbnb guest UX, so we work very closely with many teams, including Search, Checkout, Listings, Users, Host Settings, Payments, Tax, Cities, and Trust to create a seamless and consistent guest experience.
Role overview
You’ll work with a talented and diverse group of mobile engineers to build high-quality, mobile-first experiences that help our guests book their travel on Airbnb. In this role, you’ll help shape the mobile technical vision by delivering flexible, performant, and scalable iOS solutions on one of Airbnb’s most critical surfaces. You’ll collaborate across multiple agile product teams, applying your mobile expertise to solve complex problems and drive meaningful impact for our global community.

A Typical Day / Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate product and business strategy into high-quality, user-focused features
- Own and contribute across the full development lifecycle — from technical design and implementation to testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
- Provide thoughtful feedback on product specs, UX mocks, code, and design documents
- Champion a culture of technical excellence by upholding high standards in architecture, code reviews, and production operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Lead technical initiatives within the team and contribute to planning and execution for cross-team and cross-system integrations
Requirements / Your Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience building, scaling, and maintaining iOS applications for large user bases, with strong attention to design quality and detail
- Advanced proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
- Hands-on experience using UIKit, SwiftUI, and modern iOS UI architectures, emphasizing performance and maintainability
- Extensive experience integrating and consuming GraphQL APIs in production
- Demonstrated success shipping high-quality iOS applications to the App Store, with strong technical execution and product judgment
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and asynchronous programming
- Proven ability to independently design and deliver solutions in ambiguous problem spaces, including cross-team and cross-system integrations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering closely with product, design, and other non-engineering stakeholders
- Solid product sense and passion for UI/UX, with the ability to translate product vision into polished, user-focused experiences
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving mobile technologies and platform trends
- Demonstrated desire to mentor teammates and elevate code quality through reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance
Location / Office Policy
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
- You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states are excluded).
- Offices: United States
Compensation
- Base pay range: $191,000—$223,000 USD
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Actual base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
