Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex Pega applications, ensuring robust workflows, user interfaces, and business logic.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing Pega applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues, applying advanced problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJEs), Architects, and other stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into effective Pega solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance development efficiency and application quality.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Pega development, with a comprehensive understanding of Pega rules, classes, flows, and data structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pega Platform Architecture and design principles.
  • Expertise in Pega integration patterns and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum / DevOps projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and a conceptual/architectural understanding.
  • Experience working in a complex, regulated environment such as a large financial institution.
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in Pega development.
  • Pega Certification: Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) / Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing and a good communicator.
  • Ability to bring ideas/opinions to conclusions to help make decisions.
  • Up to date with new technology and understanding of when to use it.
  • Humble approach and open to being wrong.
