Joining Collibra’s Production Engineering team
Collibra is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) to report to the VP of Platform and help advance the company's platform and infrastructure vision. The role sits on the Production Engineering team, which owns delivery of Collibra’s software across multiple clouds. The TPM will collaborate with upstream development teams to improve how features are developed and delivered, while optimizing cost, security, and operations for enterprise customers (including Fortune 500 organizations in defense, finance, healthcare, insurance, and software).
Responsibilities
- Develop the product vision and deliver on the feature roadmap for reliability and platform services.
- Oversee planning and execution for product teams; own product delivery commitments and outcomes by managing backlogs and milestones.
- Represent the customer and user; understand customer pain points and industry trends to provide product ideas and make data-informed decisions.
- Track progress, mitigate risks, and manage dependencies of product deliverables.
- Act as an expert on cloud infrastructure within the company and ensure the security posture is mature and thorough.
- Collaborate closely with extended product and engineering organizations, operations teams, and external vendors.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building SaaS or software products for use in high-scrutiny cloud environments; experience in reliability strongly preferred.
- Experience building products for highly regulated private industry (healthcare, finance, etc.).
- Proven track record of successful product launches in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience gathering technical requirements, creating specifications and workflow documents for product and feature releases; proficient in presentations. Experience with Jira is a plus.
- Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development (CI/CD), DevOps, GitOps, and SDLC models.
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Technical Management (PM/PO/technical lead).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA without requiring sponsorship.
- Because this role supports the US government, candidates must be US citizens who reside on US soil.
- Experience with reliability / SRE is a plus.
Measures of success
- Month 1: Complete onboarding, meet teams, understand Collibra's vision and products, and attend daily scrum calls and Agile ceremonies.
- Month 3: Become familiar with the prioritized backlog in Jira, gather requirements from stakeholders, document business and technical requirements, participate in cross planning, understand metrics, and build reports.
- Month 6: Create clear product goals, facilitate quarterly prioritization and planning, manage production engineering requests across the product life cycle, and iterate processes based on learnings.
Compensation
The standard base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $228,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on experience, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, Collibra offers equity ownership, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
