Reddit is seeking a backend software engineer with strong product sense to join the Ads Conversion Signals team. The team focuses on growing the quantity and quality of off-platform conversion signals while prioritizing user privacy. As a key player you'll help set the vision for Redditβs Conversions API, lead a group of engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver Conversions API integrations with advertisers and third-party partners. The group also builds products on Events Manager to drive Conversions API adoption and data quality.
Responsibilities
- Identify roadmap opportunities from past experience, competitor analysis, and customer needs; drive the evolution of Conversions API-related products to improve conversion data quality.
- Lead development of advertiser-facing products with frontend and backend engineers to drive high-quality Conversions API adoption.
- Own Conversions API infrastructure, including cost, scaling, and impact on downstream teams that leverage conversion data.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams during short- and long-term planning; own the technical vision and strategy for Conversions API.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
- Take ownership from concept to delivery; ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and performant.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science).
- 5+ years of full-time backend and data-focused software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment.
- Prior experience in Ads Conversion Signals or Ads Measurement and a deep understanding of related challenges, opportunities, and downstream impacts (Conversions API experience preferred).
- Experience in software development with a willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with frontend/backend engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that respect user privacy and security.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems.

Pay Transparency
- The base pay range for this US-based position is $314,800 - $453,100 USD. The role may also be eligible for equity (RSUs) and, depending on the position, commission. Final offers are based on skills, experience, and other factors.
