The Software Engineering team at Collibra is a global group of builders passionate about innovative technology and solving complex problems. Working guided by Agile principles, the team builds simple, elegant products that simplify data engagement. Engineers have opportunities to rotate among product groups and work on new products over time.
Responsibilities
- Define, scope, and scale the engineering/team roadmap and priorities.
- Develop high-quality code, participate in testing and maintenance.
- Apply pragmatic engineering to deliver customer value.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Architecture, Operations, QA, UX, and other engineers.
- Act as a lead engineer focused on team objectives.
- Follow agile (Scrum) processes to maintain visibility of deliverables.
- Mentor other engineers leveraging your experience.
Requirements
- Professional expertise scaling Java applications.
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot, understanding best practices.
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience in architectural design translation and development leadership.
- Experience building SaaS software for cloud deployment.
- Knowledge of OO principles, design patterns, functional programming, and clean code.
- Experience with Agile Scrum development processes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading projects.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Authorization to work in Prague, Czech Republic.
Nice to have
- Containerization tools experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
