Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance software engineering team fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and customer-focused culture.
  • Guide the team's technical strategy and architectural decisions to build a scalable, secure, and reliable platform on Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other engineering teams to define the product roadmap and ensure timely delivery of customer-focused features.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle for the Cloud Site team using agile techniques, from planning through deployment and operations.
  • Attract, hire, and retain engineering talent to ensure the team can meet its goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building scalable Java-based software applications, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Industry experience with Docker, Kubernetes, preferably Helm.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in building cloud-native Java applications with high operability, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Great understanding of cloud-native application engineering.

Measures of Success

  • First month: Familiarize with product, tech stack, team, and start submitting PRs.
  • Third month: Independently drive features and fixes collaboratively.
  • Sixth month: Own and design significant product features or capabilities.
