Role overview

The Solutions Engineering team helps large customers embed Sentry into their applications and workflows — from integrating SDKs to ensuring alerts and issues reach the right places. Solutions Engineers interface with customers to ensure optimal implementation and utilization so that developers can identify and resolve slowdowns and errors and development teams increase productivity and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' pain points and objectives and translate them into implementation and onboarding plans that demonstrate business value.
  • Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content around error and performance management, open-source, or the Sentry product (for example: how-to articles, videos, code samples, demos).
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert to assist customers with instrumenting software engineering and monitoring best practices.
  • Provide workshop-level interaction to customers to drive maturity of use and broader adoption.
  • Work cross-functionally to provide feedback to product and development teams and align Sentry's product roadmap with improving time-to-value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer (preferred), Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer with experience leading projects and/or working with customers.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, and Mobile Native (iOS and/or Android).
  • Experience integrating SDKs and implementing error and performance monitoring solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interfacing with engineers and engineering leaders and delivering workshops.
  • Problem solver with a results-driven mindset; comfortable working on varied projects across industries.
  • Interest in developer tools, open-source, and software development lifecycle practices.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: $160,000 to $190,000 (actual salary determined by factors including work location, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge).
