Airbnb's Community Blueprint team within Global Operations focuses on improving the end-to-end guest and host experience by connecting product, operations, and policy using data-driven decision making. This individual contributor role will leverage advanced analytics to define, forecast, and evaluate key metrics in unstructured problem spaces, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives that improve the guest and host experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with large and complex datasets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using analytical and statistical approaches.
- Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, forecasting, and data presentation to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Data Science, Product Insights Analysts, Data & Analytical Engineering, Capacity Planning, and other cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and implement advanced forecasting models to predict and understand performance of key metrics.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and guide product iterations; leverage causal methods when randomized trials arenβt available.
- Design and build metrics and dimensions to monitor product and business performance.
- Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools to empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Stay up-to-date with quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques and industry trends.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience; degree in a quantitative field (Masters or PhD preferred). Examples: Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research.
- Deep technical expertise in data and statistical analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and forecasting methods; familiarity with LLMs.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional stakeholder management; ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity with an entrepreneurial/investigator mindset.
- Robust business acumen and strategic thinking; history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
- Prior experience in the technology industry or fast-paced, data-driven environments is preferred.
Benefits / Compensation
- Base pay range (subject to factors such as experience and market demands): $176,000 β $220,000 USD.
- Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Location & Work Policy
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required, as agreed with manager. Candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states excluded).
