Airbnb's Community Blueprint team (under Global Operations) focuses on improving the end-to-end customer journey by bridging product, operations, and policy. This individual contributor role will drive data-driven decision-making across product and operations to improve the guest and host experience through experimentation, forecasting, statistical modeling, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Work with large, complex datasets to solve challenging, unstructured problems using analytical and statistical approaches.
- Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, causal methods, data mining, forecasting, and presentation of data to identify trends and inform decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Data Science, Product Insights Analysts, Data and Analytical Engineering, Capacity Planning, and other cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and implement advanced forecasting models to predict key performance metrics and understand metric performance.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and guide product iterations; leverage causal inference methods when randomized trials arenβt available.
- Design and build metrics and dimensions to monitor product and business performance.
- Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience; degree in a quantitative field (Masters or PhD is a plus) such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
- Deep technical expertise in data and statistical analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and forecasting methods.
- Proficiency in programming for data analysis and modeling (Python or R).
- Experience working with large datasets and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking, attention to detail, and an investigator mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
- Agile, growth-minded approach with a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
- Prior experience in the technology industry or a fast-paced, data-driven environment is preferred.
Location & Work Arrangement
- This position is US - Remote Eligible; the role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with the manager. Candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $176,000β$220,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
