Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Global Training & Certification team helps everyone from entrepreneurs to enterprises learn and verify their ability to build a business on Stripe. We’re most helpful to people who don’t have a specific business yet and just want to become proficient with Stripe’s offerings. Our stripe.training site complements Docs by providing a structured, standardized pathway through everything Stripe has to offer. Our platform fosters a community of trusted professionals through training, hands-on practice, and technical certifications. We work closely with user-facing technical teams, like Solution Architecture and Professional Services, to ensure that we’re focused on the most important use cases for our audience.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Curriculum Developer to create comprehensive learning content for Stripe's innovative products and platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of Stripe’s services, along with the ability to transform complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible, and effective educational materials for diverse audiences, including developers, product managers, and end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design curriculum and instructional materials for Stripe's products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and user experience designers, to gather requirements and insights to inform curriculum development.
  • Create a variety of instructional materials, including eLearning modules, tutorials, documentation, videos, and interactive demonstrations that effectively convey technical information.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of training materials and adjust content based on learner feedback and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops on pre-GA content for the purposes of updating and gaining feedback
  • Stay current with emerging trends in technology and education to continually enhance the curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Maintain and update existing training materials as Stripe’s products evolve, ensuring content remains relevant and accurate.
  • Develop assessments and evaluations to measure learner comprehension and track progress within the training programs.

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or technical training, preferably within the technology or finance sector.
  • Strong understanding of Stripe’s products, APIs, and platforms; experience with payment processing and financial technologies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate Rise), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia content creation software (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate training effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience with agile instructional design methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) or software development processes.
  • Background in user experience (UX) design and understanding of learner-centered design principles.
  • Previous experience in the fintech industry, particularly with digital payments or e-commerce solutions.
  • Certification in instructional design or eLearning development (e.g., ATD, ASTD).

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $133,600 - $200,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
