The Linux Product team is dedicated to providing our users a robust, secure, and high-performing NordVPN experience on the Linux platform. We develop a CLI and have recently rolled out a GUI app. This team focuses on empowering technical users with precise control, strong security, and reliable performance across all main Linux distributions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management for the NordVPN Linux application and associated features, ensuring alignment with user needs and overall business objectives.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for the Linux application, translating user stories, stakeholder requirements, and market insights into actionable development tasks.
- Collaborate closely with engineering managers, developers, designers, and other product owners to define product vision, roadmap, and release plans for the Linux application.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, usage data, and market trends to identify opportunities, improve feature usability, and drive user engagement for the Linux application.
- Work proactively with engineering and product peers to address dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Champion Agile principles within the team, promoting an iterative development process, continuous improvement, and a focus on delivering value.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, with a demonstrable focus on desktop applications, software for technical users, or networking/security products.
- Strong technical aptitude and a solid understanding of the Linux operating system (e.g., command-line interface, system architecture, common distributions). Hands-on experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and network security concepts; hands-on experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to analyze complex technical information, user data, and market research to drive the conceptualization, development, and evolution of product features specifically tailored for the Linux platform and its unique user base.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- A problem-solver's mindset with a creative and analytical approach to overcoming challenges and identifying innovative solutions.
- Strong sense of ownership, commitment, and exceptional organizational skills to manage priorities and plan work effectively.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies and with Jira/Confluence tools.
- Passionate about creating excellent products, data-driven decision-making, and understanding the needs of a technical user base.
Salary
- Monthly gross salary: 4700 - 6700 EUR.
- Annual equivalent: 56,400 - 80,400 EUR (calculated as monthly × 12).
