Details

As a QA Engineer within the Aggregation Team you will apply and advance Quality Engineering practices to identify and mitigate product risks across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering, product and business stakeholders, act as a technical advisor, and contribute to improving quality engineering processes and efficiencies throughout delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive quality delivery: ensure timely delivery of QA solutions aligned with enterprise standards, including planning, estimation and structured execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: work closely with developers, product owners, analysts and architects to meet client expectations and foster team alignment.
  • Lead test automation: design and implement scalable, standards-compliant automation frameworks integrated into DevOps pipelines.
  • API automation & backend support: contribute to API automation and backend development activities for the aggregation platform.
  • Refine requirements & backlogs: break down complex requirements, define test estimates and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Continuously improve processes: participate in retrospectives and agile practices to drive efficiency and high-quality outputs.
  • Resolve issues proactively: accurately log defects, support root cause analysis, and collaborate for timely resolution.
  • Mentor & innovate: share knowledge, stay updated with tech trends, mentor peers and contribute to organisational growth and culture.

Requirements

  • Programming (OOP) fundamentals.
  • C# development knowledge; Python is a plus.
  • Experience with automation testing and designing automation frameworks.
  • Working experience in Agile teams and agile methodology.
  • Git for version control.
  • BDD experience (Cucumber / SpecFlow).
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
  • Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and contributing across the product delivery lifecycle.
  • Typical experience indicated: 1–3 years.

  • Team: Aggregation Team — engineers delivering and maintaining aggregation platform features; collaboration across the product delivery lifecycle with emphasis on API automation and backend development.
  • Location: Eneco - Rotterdam.
  • Working model: hybrid working: the role describes working 40% at the office and 40% at home, with the remaining day flexible.
