While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain web applications, API integrations, and custom code across platforms like Contentful, SplashThat, and Salesforce.
• Create and update websites including input from various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on best practice.
• Implement data models, custom objects, workflows, and automation using programmatic and declarative tools.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure high quality and performance.
• Integrate platform with external systems and third-party applications using APIs and related middleware tools.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on AWS service capabilities, limitations, and potential solutions.
• Continuous learning across new technologies as needs of stakeholders are discovered.
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
• Document technical designs, specifications, and development processes to ensure comprehensive understanding and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development (web development, backend services, etc.).
• Experience with developing backend services (in languages such as Python or Golang).
• Hands-on exposure to web frameworks (React/Node.js preferred but flexible).
• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and demonstrate value.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
• Background utilizing GitHub or source-based CI/CD process.
• Experience working with a geographically dispersed team and willingness to synchronize regularly in EST Mon-Thurs or otherwise as needed.

• AWS Developer - Associate Certification.
• Experience with Slack app development.
• Public GitHub repository.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certification.
• Familiarity with integrating marketing platforms or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SplashThat).
