Engineering Manager - MetaMask (Assets)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage up to two teams (2-4 engineers each) responsible for core revenue-driving user experiences within MetaMask.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to help engineers grow and succeed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, design, research) to develop and prioritize product roadmaps aligned with MetaMask strategy.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning; encourage knowledge sharing and process improvement.
• Drive technical decision-making to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and high quality.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the technical landscape, industry trends, and competitor activity.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across the MetaMask ecosystem.
• Define and track KPIs to measure success and impact; use data to inform product decisions and drive growth.
• Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to stakeholders including product leaders, designers, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of software engineering management experience.
• Hiring management experience.
• Agile software engineering experience.
• Engineering skills including:
  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
  • Web development
  • Node.js
  • React
  • Git and GitHub
• Experience developing software and solutions for consumer-facing products.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (listed as required).

Bonus

• Web3 software development experience.
• Open source software contributor experience.
• Existing MetaMask user.

Compensation

The salary range for US-based candidates (not including bonus, equity or other benefits):

$138,000—$225,000 USD. The final pay within this range will be determined through the interview process based on experience and skills.
