About Tikkie

Tikkie is more than just an application; it's part of Dutch culture and the leading free finance app in the Netherlands. We began as a start-up initiative by ABN AMRO and have since transformed the payment landscape in the country with our easy, fast, and fun payment functionality. Today, Tikkie has evolved into a multifaceted platform, with a dedicated team of over 70 people building scalable, high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Be a core member of an agile scrum team and participate in daily scrum meetings.
• Develop new and existing frontend and backend features that contribute to the strategic direction of development projects.
• Work across frontend and backend services and explore/master new technologies or frameworks.
• Optimize, refactor, and improve the existing code base.
• Share knowledge and participate in chapter-level activities (e.g., quarterly in-house conference).
• Actively participate in meetings and collaborate with colleagues to achieve sprint goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Experience with AWS: CloudFormation, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS & SQS.
• Experience or proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java/Spring, Node.js, React and AWS CDK.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills and active participation in meetings.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Eagerness to challenge the status quo and continuously learn new things.

• Salary range: €4.466 - €6.380 per month (see posting).
