MetaMask is both a crypto wallet and a gateway to the decentralized web. Our browser extension and mobile platforms serve millions of users and developers worldwide. The Accounts Framework team builds the accounts system for the MetaMask wallet — designing scalable architectures to integrate new account models, integrate different hardware wallets, improve the accounts Backup & Sync feature, and develop solutions to improve the wallet’s UI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable account system architecture for MetaMask.
• Integrate and support multiple account models and hardware wallets.
• Improve and develop the Backup & Sync feature for accounts.
• Build UI/UX improvements for the wallet on extension and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA Engineers.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD pipelines and peer code review.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with Node.js.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with React and/or React Native.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working on a team of at least 3 other engineers with a strong focus on collaboration and peer review.
• Experience working on agile projects in an Agile environment.
• Experience working in a CI/CD setup.
• Experience with multiple blockchains such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.
• Strong communication skills in English; experience working effectively in fully remote environments.
• Growth-minded, collaborative, able to work with ambiguity and autonomy, and enthusiastic about shipping high-quality code.

Bonus Points

• Cryptography knowledge.
• Cybersecurity experience.

• Applicants will be required to submit to background checks as a condition of employment.
• The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined during the interview process depending on experience and skills.
• US pay range (not including bonus, equity or other benefits): $104,000—$187,000 USD.
