Confluent develops a cloud-native data streaming platform that helps organizations connect, process, govern, and use continuously flowing data in real time. Founded by Apache Kafka co-creators Jay Kreps, Jun Rao, and Neha Narkhede, its offerings include Confluent Cloud, Confluent Platform, Confluent Private Cloud, and WarpStream.

Confluent was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California. It reported 3,241 employees across 27 countries as of December 31, 2025. IBM completed its acquisition of Confluent on March 17, 2026, and Confluent now operates as part of IBM.
