Details
WordPress VIP (part of Automattic) is the world’s leading enterprise content management platform. We help the world’s largest companies create innovative digital experiences with WordPress. This role is for an experienced Account Executive focused on selling WordPress VIP to enterprise customers, developing new business, and expanding existing accounts. The position is fully remote with an emphasis on candidates located on the East Coast of the United States or Canada. Moderate travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive significant revenue growth by securing new enterprise clients and expanding existing accounts.
- Establish and nurture strategic C-level relationships and position VIP as a critical business partner.
- Manage both transactional deals and large multimillion-dollar opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline information; drive improvements to forecasting processes.
- Develop and execute innovative, vertical-specific sales strategies to accelerate market penetration.
- Actively engage in pipeline generation, including regular outbound prospecting and self-generated leads.
- Collaborate closely with SDRs and Marketing to create compelling outreach and content.
- Provide customer insights to inform the VIP product roadmap.
- Elevate WordPress VIP's brand in the enterprise CMS space through high-impact engagements.
- Mentor team members and contribute to a high-performing sales culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably in SaaS or CMS-related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, IT landscapes, and content management systems (WordPress/CMS).
- Proven experience in solutions-based selling and closing enterprise-level deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and contract-review skills.
- Comfortable engaging with executive-level prospects (CMOs, CTOs) and building long-term customer relationships.
- Experience managing and growing business within named accounts and verticals.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve revenue and growth targets individually and as part of a company.
- Ability to understand the technology and platforms Automattic/WordPress runs and communicate effectively with engineers and content creators.
- Willingness to travel moderately.
Compensation & Location
- Salary range: $95,000 - $160,000 USD, plus variable compensation. (Salaries are global and paid in local currency.)
- Location: Remote (East Coast of United States/Canada).
