About proficiency levels:
- 1-2 — basic awareness. Minimal hands-on experience, and a rudimentary understanding of the technology's purpose;
- 3-6 — daily use. Comfortable and regular usage, capable of handling common tasks and challenges related to the technology;
- 7-9 — you are an expert, you can teach others, you know all the pitfalls and tricks;
- 10 — exceptional knowledge, comprehensive understanding, and adeptness in all aspects of the technology, including advanced problem-solving. Think twice before claiming or demanding such level.

Details
NVIDIA is leading the industry in delivering accelerated computing in cloud and enterprise environments. This role will lead the development of DGX Cloud strategy for full-stack integration, architecting the interface between accelerated hardware and software stacks to deliver bare-metal and virtualized accelerated computing hardware to users.
The role will define and drive technical strategy across enterprise, sovereign, and neocloud datacenter environments, including the development of control-plane and data-plane systems that enable on-demand, scalable, and metered accelerated computing hardware. The Distinguished Engineer will work with NVIDIA leadership across organizations and functions to establish product definition, roadmap, and technical strategy for delivering full-stack accelerated computing at scale.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware-software boundary engineering and define the technical implementation for DGX Cloud full-stack integration systems, focusing on hardware, firmware, and system software interfaces.
- Drive layered stack integration and technical strategy for shared memory, storage, and networking systems, extending these capabilities through IaaS and PaaS layers.
- Guide technical delivery across neocloud, enterprise, sovereign, and high-security private datacenter environments.
- Collaborate with customers, infrastructure providers, and partners to deliver solutions focused on performance and availability.
- Lead the full software and system lifecycle, including ideation, architecture, design, development, deployment, operations, and continuous evolution of software, integrations, and operations.
Requirements
- 15–20+ years of experience in technical roles focused on low-level systems integration, including hardware, firmware, operating systems, and virtualization.
- Expertise defining abstractions and building systems that deliver secure, highly available IaaS and PaaS layers.
- 7–10+ years of leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or higher, or equivalent experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Technical proficiency in multi-tenant datacenter and cloud-native architectures.
- Deep understanding of full-stack connectivity for bare-metal and virtualized compute, storage, and networking environments.
- Proven success delivering technically complex solutions with transparency into resource utilization, performance, and operational insights.
- Ability to synthesize cross-functional needs into architecture and design while guiding execution across diverse teams.
- Strong collaboration, communication, influence, and engineering leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Real-world experience building systems that support artificial intelligence and machine-learning workloads.
- Experience designing, developing, delivering, and operating secure, highly available, scaled-out systems in enterprise and cloud environments.
- A history of creating scalable processes and extensible systems that facilitate cross-functional collaboration and operations at scale.
- Familiarity with infrastructure open-source ecosystems and projects, including Linux, Kubernetes, CAPI, KubeVirt, and Kata.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence open-source project governance to represent NVIDIA, customer, and partner interests.
Benefits
- Base salary range: USD 320,000–488,750 per year, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee compensation.
- Equity and benefits are also provided.
- Full-time position.
- Applications will be accepted at least until August 15, 2026.
