Details

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of core libraries for agentic applications. The role involves building foundational technology for autonomous systems, improving engineering practices for the safe and scalable deployment of agentic systems, and developing reusable building blocks and high-quality libraries that accelerate developer productivity and agent quality.

Responsibilities

  • Track and understand evolving agent development patterns across NVIDIA and the broader ecosystem, including research and commercial products.
  • Lead a team that identifies gaps and friction in current agent architectures and translates insights into agentic tools that improve developer velocity and agent quality through evaluations, benchmarking, and feedback loops.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Coordinate the full development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment.
  • Integrate high-performance data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, vector databases, and GPU-optimized training and inference workflows.
  • Partner with product management and other collaborators to determine project requirements and priorities.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team and a cross-functional community to standardize procedures and scale adoption of agent libraries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of overall experience, including 3 or more years of team management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying modern agent architectures and open-source frameworks.
  • Experience translating proof-of-concept initiatives into production-grade solutions with measurable impact.
  • Strategic vision for translating the rapidly evolving AI domain into platform roadmaps and high-value technical outcomes.
  • Proven success collaborating with and contributing to the open-source community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building evaluation and benchmarking systems for agent workflows, including metrics, regression testing, and feedback loops.
  • Experience leading teams that delivered reliable, scalable, enterprise-grade agents deployed to customers or across an organization.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-grade governance for agent systems, including observability, monitoring, and policy enforcement in production autonomous workflows.
  • Experience developing tools used by multiple teams to accelerate agent deployment, such as SDKs, templates, reference applications, and reusable building blocks.
  • A proven track record of maintaining, creating, or leading major open-source libraries or developer tools.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 224,000–356,500 per year, determined by location, experience, and pay for similar positions.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Applications will be accepted at least until October 2, 2026.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive work environment.
