About the Team

As part of the Enterprise Product team, the Enterprise Engineering team is responsible for bridging the gap between Stripe's core capabilities and the bespoke needs of the world's largest organizations. Our mission is to improve Stripe's product-market fit with enterprise users to win more deals and grow revenue, while giving every enterprise user an excellent experience as they onboard, activate, and grow their business with Stripe.

Enterprise Engineering tackles ambiguous, complex problems in a cross-functional manner to deliver an exceptional enterprise experience on Stripe. The key missions of the team are to:

1. Develop specialized enterprise-grade product features for industry verticals.
2. Provide a configuration platform that streamlines onboarding enterprise users onto Stripe.
3. Deliver a consistently great and smooth experience when migrating sensitive data onto Stripe.

The team consists of full stack engineers who tackle these user goals through scalable and secure infrastructure, dashboard interfaces, and internal administrative tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant services and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across Stripe and stakeholders in product, design, risk, legal, and operations.
• Build easy-to-use systems that streamline adoption of Stripe and enable safe data migration.
• Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience shipping high-quality products.
• Strong analytical capability and the ability to quickly ramp up in a new area and tackle ambiguous problems.
• Experience building end-to-end solutions, including the full development lifecycle of deploying and maintaining infrastructure.
• Experience with web software development.
• A high standard for working with production systems.
• Ownership of projects and the ability to drive them to business impact.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical counterparts.
• Ability to reason clearly and move with urgency in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Creativity in designing and delivering the best solutions for users.
• Interest in a range of product development activities, from architecture design and planning to user interviews and writing code.
