Manager, Product Program Management

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Product Program Management, the central program management function in its Product organization. The team establishes strategic programs that unblock growth and runs scaled operations so partner teams can focus on building and selling Claude. The role leads managers and program managers across Commercialization Operations, Community and Executive Escalations Operations, and Marketplace Operations, while building a generalist program management bench for the Product organization.

Responsibilities

• Set the team's charter and priorities, deciding which cross-functional programs Product Program Management takes on and which it scales.
• Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, Legal, and other functions.
• Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing organization of managers and program managers across Product Program Management.
• Lead Commercialization Operations, including commercial launches for new billed or sold products, credits and promotions, trusted access, and local pricing, in partnership with Finance, Billing Engineering, and GTM.
• Lead Community and Executive Escalations Operations, including social listening, escalations, and converting insights into product fixes.
• Lead Marketplace Operations, including review and publishing for Anthropic's MCP Directory and plugin ecosystem.
• Build a generalist program management team that incubates new cross-functional programs, operates them until they are stable, and then matures them into their own pillar or transitions them to a long-term owner.
• Define success metrics for each program and report on them through regular business reviews with Product leadership.
• Coach and provide feedback to direct reports and support their career development and growth.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of experience in program management, business operations, or a related field, ideally at a high-growth technology company.
• 5 or more years of people management experience, including managing managers.
• Track record of building programs from 0 to 1 and scaling them into durable operations.
• Experience with commercial launches, billing and pricing operations, or marketplace and developer platform operations; experience in more than one area is a plus.
• Strong prioritization and execution skills, including the ability to rank competing requests from Product, Engineering, GTM, and Finance into a single roadmap and explain tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to replace manual operational work with tooling and automation.
• Excellent cross-functional influence with stakeholders who do not report to you, including executives.
• Clear and concise written communication, including executive briefings and process documentation.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action in a fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• A field relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation

• Annual salary: $365,000 USD.

Logistics

• Location-based hybrid policy: Staff are expected to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more office time.
• Anthropic sponsors visas for eligible roles and candidates and retains an immigration lawyer to provide assistance.
