Details

Perplexity is seeking creative, AI-native engineers to join the Enterprise Adoption team. The team focuses on reshaping how organizations interact with AI agents and making Perplexity Computer an indispensable tool across internal teams and enterprise customers. You will engineer core systems that enable AI-powered workflows across recruiting, finance, legal, support, operations, and external enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute on high-potential opportunities to make Computer transformative for every team at Perplexity, building core systems that bring those opportunities within reach.
  • Develop empathy for the nuances of technical and business teams' work across disciplines and verticals (recruiting, sales, finance, support, legal, operations) and collaborate with them to harness AI in new ways.
  • Make knowledge stores, systems, and human-orchestrated processes legible to Computer by engineering connectors, skills, and evaluation infrastructure that unlock team use cases at scale.
  • Close the loop between internal usage and the Computer product, translating friction and successes from real work into product and platform improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, design, data science, sales, and enterprise customers to convert process needs into simple, reliable product experiences in Computer.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience. Familiarity with building platforms for enterprise or internal users is a plus.
  • Daily use of AI models and tools, with strong knowledge of the latest frontier techniques and tooling.
  • Proficiency with Python; experience with and/or knowledge of TypeScript, Go, and other languages.
  • Strong understanding of the work of non-technical staff across enterprises and curiosity about business and operations workflows.
  • Broad working knowledge of the modern AI agent stack (agents, connectors, context engineering, evaluation/evals) and strong intuition for where today's agents excel and where they fail. (Example: familiarity with MCP and when/where/why it is used is expected.)
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to simplify agent user experiences for customers with varying technical abilities.

Benefits

  • U.S. full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits program including equity, health, dental, vision, retirement, fitness, commuter and dependent care accounts, and more.
  • Full-time employees outside the U.S. receive a benefits program tailored to their region of residence.
  • USD salary ranges apply only to U.S.-based positions; international salaries are set based on local markets. Final offers depend on experience and expertise and may vary from the listed ranges.
