Details
NVIDIA Networking has been a leader in high performance networking infrastructure for many years. The next unit of computing is the datacenter, and the network makes it all possible. The team is growing the networking architecture organization to develop the next generation of networking protocols for AI, focusing on RDMA transport protocols that form the basis for distributed AI training and inference.
Responsibilities
- Research and propose novel transport mechanisms based on RDMA technology for AI systems using simulations, experiments and proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Architect frameworks for NVIDIA’s programmable networking devices for novel protocols.
- Provide system-level architecture to guide NVIDIA’s customers to deploy and operate the new protocols.
- Collaborate across NVIDIA to co-design the stack to exploit new transport mechanisms.
Requirements
- M.S./Ph.D. degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Research experience driving transport protocol innovations.
- Deep understanding of RDMA.
- Proven fundamentals of compute, network architecture and operating systems.
- Strong experience with Linux.
- Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary ranges provided in the posting:
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
- Level 6: 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD
- Eligible for equity and benefits (links in original posting).
